| Eligibility:
1) All horses and persons are eligible to be nominated if they have attended
a minimum of half the shows in an SRCHA Show Season. (Shows are counted
'by day' - there are 12 days of showing over 6 week-ends through the regular
show season in 2011.) If you are not sure about the eligibility of any
particular horse or person, contact Vicki Johnson at appaloosa@yourlink.ca
or call 306-329-8600
2) Only current SRCHA members who have attended a minimum of half the
shows in the current show season are eligible to make nominations or to
vote.
Nomination Procedures:
1) Current SRCHA members, including Youth, that have attended at least
half the regular shows, may nominate one or more horses for "Horse
of the Year" and one or more persons for "Most Sportsmanlike"
2) Nominations will close on August 28, 2011
3) Nominations can be emailed to Noreen Fenske at fensken@xplornet.ca
or by phone to 306-647-2124, or in person at the North Battleford Show
on Aug. 27-28, in writing.
Please use the following wording to make nominations:
I, _________your name here________,
hereby nominate ___________________registered name of horse or person
here__________________
as 2011 Vetoquinol SRCHA Horse of the Year / 2011 Vetoquinol SRCHA Most
Sportsmanlike.
Date: ______________________________
4) You may not nominate yourself or your own horse(s),
or horse(s) that you have been competing with in the current show season.
5) Recommended criteria: the SRCHA encourages nominations of horses that
personify a willing attitude and natural cow sense, that make an athletic
consistent team with their rider(s); therefore, these do not need to necessarily
be the most successful in the show pen. The SRCHA encourages nominations
of persons who are consistently courteous and supportive of their fellow
competitors and show personnel, and who encourage and promote the sport
of Reined Cow Horse.
