SRCHA 2011 CLASS LISTS

 

Each Jackpot Show will have extra added $$ - with higher amounts & additional awards at some Shows.

2011 SRCHA Working Cowhorse / Ranch Cutting (Herdwork)

* NOTE: a horse/rider combination will receive entry into 1 Working Cowhorse and 1 Ranch Cutting class per day for the prescribed entry fee. At a 2-day show, entrants may choose to ride one day in Working Cowhorse and the other day in Ranch Cutting class, for that prescribed entry fee. For entrants wishing only to compete in one discipline, the full entry fee will apply.

 

SRCHA Class List for all Jackpot Shows:


Ranch Cutting / Herdwork Classes

(represents Herd Work in traditional Reined Cowhorse)

- Open Horse (any age horse, any level rider)
- Junior Horse (4 & 5 year olds; snaffle bit or bosal; any level rider)
- 3 Year Old Snaffle Bit (any level rider)
- Novice Horse (6 yrs old or older, never shown before; eligible for 1 show season only; any level rider)
- Non Pro Rider (open to any level of non pro rider)
- Limited Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $501 - $900., with consideration of other circuit earnings)

- Intermediate Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $101 - $500., with consideration of other circuit earnings)
- Novice Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $0 - $100., with consideration of other circuit earnings)
- Youth 10 – 13 Years Old
- Youth 14 - 18 Years Old

Working Cow Horse (WCH) Classes
(comprised of a Dry Work [reining pattern] followed by Fence Work)

- Open Bridle Horse (any age horse, any level rider)
- Junior Horse (4 & 5 year olds; snaffle bit or bosal; any level rider)
- 3 Year Old Snaffle Bit (any level rider)
- Novice Bridle Horse (6 yrs old or older, never shown before; eligible for 1 show season only; any level rider)
- Non Pro Rider (open to any level of non pro rider)
- Limited Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $501 - $900., with consideration of other circuit earnings)

- Intermediate Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $101 - $500., with consideration of other circuit earnings)
- Novice Non Pro Rider (SRCHA earnings of $0 - $100., with consideration of other circuit earnings)
- Youth 10 – 13 Years Old (cattle work is Boxing ONLY)
- Youth 14 - 18 Years Old

NOTES:
• SRCHA Membership is required for all RIDERS at SRCHA events.
• Non Pro riders must qualify for their particular category based on Money Earned (Open Non Pro, Limited Non Pro, Intermediate or Novice) and complete the Non Pro Declaration on the SRCHA Membership Form. A “pro” rider is not eligible for any Non Pro classes.
• Riders may always choose to ride “up” into a higher level class, but may not ever ride “down” into a lower level class.
• You may enter the same horse in different class levels, for example: a 5 year old can be ridden in a Non Pro class plus in Junior Horse class, or Open Horse class (with the appropriate equipment).

Entry fees shown right are for regular 2011 SRCHA Jack Pot classes, listed above. (Derby & Futurity Show in Sept has a different fee schedule)

A portion of each entry fee is paid out in the Jackpot for each class.

There will also be added money at most Jack Pot Shows provided from sponsor incentives.

Participants must pre-enter but entry fees are actually paid at the Show. (A no-show fee applies if you fail to attend after having pre-entered)

PLUS - NON PRO Rider 3&4 Year Old Classic with $1000. added.
