Photo Gallery of the August 11, 2006 "Playing In The Mud" Show at Yorkton, SK.
On the evening of August 10, apparently the Yorkton arena received 4 inches of rain. Well, really, we have heard anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain.... The truth was, there was a lake where the arena should be when we arrived on August 11 to start our Ranch Cutting Classes at 9:30 am. Our durable SRCHA Secretary - Angela Moore - promptly hired a truck to suck off the water (several loads), everyone settled in for a good visit, and we got the show started around 2 pm. What else can you do except "cowboy-up" sometimes ? We continued on with the Ranch Cutting, then the Reining & DryWork and finished the Fencework for the Working Cowhorse just at dark.
It was fun !
