Saskatchewan Reined Cow Horse Association

Congratulations to the 2011 Provincial Champions !

The SRCHA is dedicated to the promotion of the truly special horse that is the reined cowhorse and the very special people who breed, show and train them. In Saskatchewan, we are lucky to have all of these in abundance - great horses, great trainers and riders of all levels of experience. Safety, fun, good horsemanship, proper cattle handling and good sportsmanship are encouraged. From the “defence player” required in Herdwork to the “push button” technical control of the Reined Work to the “offense player” partnership between the cowy horse and rider in the Fencework - we see that the reined cowhorse is truly “broke” and useful. The rider who practises these three very different elements - no matter if they are a beginner or a seasoned competitor - is polishing exceptional horsemanship skills. Working Cowhorse - it's like playing chess while bobsledding ! Get yourself a cowhorse and come have fun !
