Cowboy Cowhorse Jackpot

Open to any rider who has $1000 or less in Cow Horse Competition earnings

Horses can be any age and rider may ride one OR two handed in split reins with shank bit or any legal NRCHA equipment (snaffle bit, hackamore, 1 handed Romel Rein). You can use either leather or chain curb straps. No tie downs or martingales. Ownership of horse is not required.

 

Rider will complete herd work in the morning and later complete the modified rein work pattern (2 spins each way and no lead changes) and fence work portion of the run. After the fence run (no circling), the rider will create a loop and rope the cow using a breakaway Honda.  The rider is allowed 2 Loops or 60 second limit, whichever comes first.

Directions

From #11 Highway, turn into Lumsden, then turn left on James Street, cross railway tracks, immediately turn right on Qu'Appelle Drive (Grid Road 641), travel 2 km, watch for Seven Bridges Road sign, turn left, go 2 km to Beaver Creek Ranch & Horse Center.

From Pense, follow Grid 641 approximately 18 km. Once you get on pavement, take the first right south, go to Beaver Creek Horse Ranch and Horse Center.
